Ribbo.ai for Gyms? A General AI Support Agent vs a Fitness AI Platform
Ribbo.ai turns up when gym operators search for affordable AI customer service, and it is easy to see why. It is quick to set up, plans start at $20 a month, and it can answer questions on WhatsApp, Instagram and your website within an afternoon.
But Ribbo is not built for fitness. It is a general-purpose support agent, used in examples from banking to logistics. This guide looks at what that means in practice for a gym or health club, and where a fitness-specific AI platform such as Keepme Antares does different work.
What Ribbo is
Ribbo is an AI customer support agent you train on your own content: documents, website pages, text and question-and-answer pairs. Its tagline is “Your docs. Your brand. Your support agent.” It is run by Debtless App Inc., with an address in Nairobi, Kenya, and launched in 2023.
Its strengths are breadth and price:
Channels: WhatsApp Business, Instagram Direct, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Slack, a web widget, email drafting for human approval, and an API
Models: a choice of large language models, including GPT-4o, Claude, Gemini and Llama
Lead scoring: since January 2026, every visitor who chats with a Ribbo bot “gets a score from 0 to 100 and a classification: Hot, Warm, or Cold”
Integrations: HubSpot, Zendesk, Freshdesk, Jira and custom webhooks
Pricing: published, from a free plan to $150 a month for the Large plan, with custom enterprise plans
For a business that mostly needs to answer common questions in chat, that is a lot of capability for very little money.
What a gym needs that a support agent does not cover
A fitness business is not a help desk. The conversations that move revenue are tours booked, members kept and calls answered. That is where a general tool and a fitness platform part ways.
Phone calls
Ribbo has no native voice or SMS channel. Its only telephony option is connecting its API to your own phone system. On Antares, the voice agent, Clarion, answers inbound calls 24/7, handles questions on hours, services and pricing, books tours and hands off to staff when needed.
Booking into your club systems
Ribbo’s listed integrations are support and CRM tools. We found no integration with club management or booking systems used by gyms. The sales agent on Antares, Nova, works with your existing CRM and club systems and books tours and trials directly, then follows up across channels until the prospect shows up.
Members, not just visitors
Ribbo’s 0 to 100 score rates a visitor’s purchase intent during a chat. That is useful for sales triage, but it stops at the conversation. The Keepme Score, generated by Pulse on Antares, follows every prospect from first enquiry and every member from join date. When it moves a member into amber, the retention agent, Ember, can reach them weeks before a cancellation request. We found no retention or cancellation capability in Ribbo.
Being recommended by AI assistants
Ribbo’s “Answerability Score” tool checks whether your documents can answer support questions. It is not about how ChatGPT or Gemini describe your business. Keepme’s audit of 901 fitness operators across 27 countries found a global average AI search readiness score of 21 out of 100. The AI search visibility agent on Antares, Beacon, is included when operators activate Nova and closes that gap for each of your clubs.
Fitness knowledge out of the box
With a general tool, your team writes the knowledge base, designs the flows and decides how to handle a membership freeze or a tour no-show. Antares agents are built for fitness conversations from day one, and Keepme handles training, integrations and testing through a structured 20-day adoption journey.

When each makes sense
Ribbo makes sense if you want an inexpensive chat assistant to answer FAQs on your website and social channels, and you are happy to build and maintain the knowledge and workflows yourself.
Antares makes sense if your goal is more tours, more joins and fewer cancellations across several sites, with phone calls answered, bookings made in your own systems, and one score that follows every person from enquiry to renewal.
